Texas FAIR Plan
Having Trouble Finding Homeowners Insurance?
Being turned down by one insurance company doesn't necessarily mean you've run out of options.
At Next Move Insurance, we help Texas property owners explore available insurance markets.
When coverage isn't reasonably available through the traditional insurance market, the Texas FAIR Plan Association may be an option for eligible properties.

What Is the Texas FAIR Plan?
The Texas FAIR Plan Association, often called TFPA or Texas FAIR Plan, provides property insurance to eligible Texas property owners who are unable to obtain coverage through the regular insurance market.
It is considered an insurer of last resort, not simply another homeowners insurance company.
Texas FAIR Plan currently requires applicants seeking new coverage to have two qualifying declinations from authorized insurers.
That is why we normally begin by determining whether traditional insurance options are available before considering FAIR Plan coverage.
Who Might Need Texas FAIR Plan?
You may want to talk with us if you've encountered difficulties obtaining property insurance because of factors such as:
Age of the property
Roof age or condition
Previous insurance claims
Property condition
Insurance history
Location
Other underwriting concerns
Eligibility is determined according to Texas FAIR Plan rules and underwriting requirements.
Getting declined by one company doesn't automatically mean you qualify for FAIR Plan, so let our team help you understand the next step.

Is Texas FAIR Plan the Same as Regular Homeowners Insurance?
Not necessarily.
Texas FAIR Plan itself states that its coverage is limited compared with coverage that may be available through the voluntary insurance market.
That's why our goal isn't simply to put every
difficult property into FAIR Plan.
Our goal is to help you understand the options available for your particular property.
Can I Keep Texas FAIR Plan Forever?
FAIR Plan is designed for situations where qualifying coverage isn't available in the voluntary market.
Current rules require policyholders to periodically reapply in the voluntary market, and updated declinations are required every two calendar years for continued eligibility.
Our team can help you review your insurance options when that time comes.
